Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation offering four highly respected programmes of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

IB programmes (PYP, MYP, IBDP and CP) have gained a reputation for rigour and high academic standards, for preparing students for life in a globalized 21st century, and for helping to develop citizens who will create a better, more peaceful world.

The Diploma Programme (DP) was the first programme offered by the IB and is taught to students aged 16-19.

Currently, more than one million IB students attend nearly 3,700 schools in 146 countries.

In July 2016, Fleming College became the 41st school to offer the programme in Peru and the first in Trujillo.
